Postojna Cave & Predjama Castle - Underground Treasures & Legends

It has taken millions of years for the clear waters of the River Pivka to create these 21 kilometers of underground labyrinth of passages, caverns and great halls, decorated with dripstones, translucent curtains and pillars of fascinating shapes and colors. After an unforgettable underground train ride to the heart of the cave system, experienced guides will accompany you on a walk through the subtly lit fairy-tale like underground world. Lake Bled - An Alpine Pearl

This harmonious mix of beautiful nature, rich history and genuine hospitality has been attracting visitors for centuries. It was here that the Yugoslavia Royal Family once had a summer residence, later replaced by the summer residence of President Tito, which can still be seen by the lake. After an enjoyable drive, we can board a traditional ‘pletna’ boat and smoothly glide over the lake to visit the only Slovenian island. Its top is crowned with a little church, and you will have an opportunity to ring the mysterious wishing bell. A scenic road takes us around the lake and to the medieval castle perched high on a cliff. Built over a thousand years ago, it was once an unconquerable property of the Bishops of Brixen. Today, it attracts visitors with its museum, and demonstrations of old crafts and traditions, not to mention the breathtaking view of the surroundings. Before returning to Ljubljana, enjoy a stroll by the lake or treat yourself to the famous Bled cream-cake.

Lipica & Coastal City of Piran - Touch of Karst & the Mediterranean

Lipica Stud Farm is the cradle of the Lipizzaners, the noble white horses. Breeding began 400 years ago to meet the exclusive needs and demands of the Habsburgs. A local guide will show you around the estate (own expenses); you will see the whole array of magnificent animals – uncertain dark foals, gentle mares, and proud stallions capable of performing the most amazing figures of the Spanish Riding School.  Passing through a varied landscape, we reach the sparkling Mediterranean. We will drive through coastal cities of Izola and Portorož till we reach the gem of the Slovenian coast which is the medieval town Piran, tucked in between the sea and the mighty town walls. Strong links with Venice in the past are still reflected in the town’s present appearance. The central square boasts eminent historical palaces, the birth house of the maestro Tartini, his monument and his name. We will walk up to the imposing Church of St. George with its Venetian-like bell tower to admire the view over the wonderful mosaic of roofs, streets and squares with the stunning backdrop of the bay. After the sightseeing, you will have time to discover the hidden corners of the town.

Lake Bled & Lake Bohinj - Beyond the Alpine Lakes

Maribor & Ptuj & Žiče Carthusian Monastery - Where the Medival Meets the Present

On the Drava Plain, surrounded by thermal springs, flourishing fields, and vineyards, lies Ptuj, the oldest Slovenian town. It was already mentioned as Roman Poetovio in 69 BC. Numerous archaeological remains tell of those days, while its lovely present appearance originates from the Middle Ages when Ptuj flourished for the second time. On a panoramic hill above Ptuj, the medieval Castle dominates - it houses exceptional collections, illustrating the traditions and history of the region. Enchanted by the heritage of the past, we continue down the pretty streets, admiring the Provost Church, the poignant Orpheus' Pillar and the flamboyant Town Hall. Afterwards, we head to the second biggest Slovenian city, nestled in the foothills of Pohorje.  Spontaneous and relaxed, the attractive city of Maribor has a lot to offer. We visit the majestic Gothic Cathedral, visit the lively Main Square and discover the legends of the Franciscan Church. We will make our way over to the picturesque Town Square and visit the romantic Lent river bank to see the Old Vine House, with the oldest vine in the world. To make the day complete, we visit Žiče Carthusian Monastery one of the most beautiful medieval monasteries.

Lake Bled & Medieval Town of Radovljica with Lunch - Taste of Tradition

A scenic road takes us around the lake and to the medieval castle perched high on a cliff. Built over a thousand years ago, it was once an unconquerable property of the Bishops of Brixen. On the return journey, we are going to stop in the picturesque town of Radovljica. It is a medieval core that charms with frescoed facades of the houses, grand mansion and magnificent gothic church of St. Peter. The mansion houses an apicultural museum displaying an essential part of Slovenian history and culture, as the rich tradition of beekeeping, represented an important rural branch. After unfurling some secrets of beekeeping, visiting gingerbread museum and having lunch you will return to Ljubljana.

Škocjan Caves & Lipica Stud Farm - Secrets of Unesco Heritage

We will discover the mysterious beauty, secret underground waters and caves at the Regional Park of the Škocjan caves, famous for natural wonders above and below ground. Over millions of years the waters have created an underground wonderland of mysterious passages, spacious halls and an enormous, probably the biggest, subterranean canyon in the world. A scenic road will later lead us to the Lipica stud farm. Some 400 years ago the indigenous Karst horse was refined with other breeds to meet the court and military demands of the Habsburgs.
